Poetic talent in 5th Class!

Check out this wonderful poem that Samara wrote. Fifth class were drawing mystical creatures and this provided inspiration for Samara to write her beautiful poem The Phoenix. She shows great talent. Well done Samara!

The Phoenix

With red and purple feathers,

and a beak of crimson gold,

this very powerful bird,

also happens to be very old.

For he who lives 500 years

dies and again reborn,

and uses its predecessors ashes

to again be born.

And when he cries upon an injury

his tears begin to heal,

he may have wonderful powers,

but is this bird really real?

This bird can destroy if he wants to,

but he’s not evil at heart,

at the end of the day this mythical bird,

is truly an amazing art.
