Science Week 8th – 15th November

There were some very busy scientists in our school this week.

Ms Keena’s class watched the sugar in skittles dissolve in hot water to make a rainbow. They made beautiful colours. They also made raisins dance. When they added raisins to sparkling water the gas bubbles attached to the raisins and made them dance.

Ms. Mc Cormack’s girls explored density in a fun and exciting way as they made lava lamps. Check out their beautiful creations in the attached photos.

Ms. Casey’s class participated in a Junior Einstein workshop. They explored materials and made two types of slime! They also learned about electricity and made lighthouses, theme parks and quizzes using circuits.
