School Tours 2021

This year Junior Infants – 5^th Class went to Dun na Sí on their school tour. Each class went on a different day and the sun was shining on all days! The classes enjoyed a guided tour around the heritage park. They learned so much about farming and life long ago in Ireland. The pet farm was a huge hit. Everyone got a chance to feed the animals. The greedy goats particularly enjoyed the tasty willow branches. The new piglets and baby goslings were also favourites amongst the girls! Finally lots of fun was had in the amenity park. All children of all ages thoroughly enjoyed the playground! Aren’t we so lucky to have such a wonderful park on our doorstep?

6^th class went further afield and they travelled to Lilliput Adventure Centre in Mullingar. There the girls had a special day out and sampled a variety of activities including bog jumping, abseiling, rock climbing and kayaking! It certainly was not for the faint hearted! They all had a wonderful day together.
