Last Wednesday, 21st June we bid farewell to 6th class girls and 1st class boys. They enjoyed a graduation ceremony in Tuar Ard and parents and pupils were then welcomed back to the school for flag raising celebrations!
We welcomed Joe Ward, our very own Irish professional boxer to raise the Active Flag. Joe is a wonderful role model to all the children in our community. His success and achievements in boxing show what talent, hard work and dedication can achieve. We hope Joe will inspire all our girls and boys in St Brigid’s.
Olive Quinn, former principal of St. Brigid’s raised our Green Flag. Olive first initiated the Green School Programme some years ago. She passed on her passion for nature and all things green to staff and pupils alike. It was only fitting she would return to raise this flag.
A special thank you to the Parents Association who provided refreshments on the day.
