Carol Sevice

Army Band
We were delighted to welcome the Band of the 4th Western Brigade, under Capt Fergal Carroll, to the School Hall on Friday last, for a recital and demonstration of Instruments. This event is always enjoyed by pupils, staff and parents alike, and this year was no exception. Christmas favourites, Army marches, cartoon theme songs and music from the Harry Potter films featured. The audience was also introduced to the families of the orchestra, and a number of instruments were demonstrated.
Afterwards, the Band members were given refreshments by the Parent Association.
Pictured below are some of the audience enjoying the recital.

Christmas Carol Services

It is that time of the year again and all classes are busy preparing for their forthcoming Christmas Carol Performances. Many of the traditional Christmas songs that we are all love, along with some beautiful newer melodies can be heard from every classroom as they perfect their repertoire. Costumes are laid out, ready in the Hall, for the shows next week. Great credit must go to the teachers who put together the scripts and accompaniments for these performances, year after year.
This year, the Carol services will take place in Tuar Ard as follows;
Ms. Monahan and Ms Ganley’s Junior and Senior Infants – Tuesday December 6th at 11am.
Ms Eagney, Ms Dunne and Ms Rabbette’s Senior Infants/1st Class and 2nd class – Tuesday December 6th at 1.15pm
Ms Mahony, Mrs Keena and Mrs Casey’s 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Classes – Wednesday December 7th at 7.30 pm.

Due to the seating capacity of Tuar Ard (173), tickets for the shows must be purchased in advance at 2.50 euro each – details have been sent out regarding this during the week.
