Items Discussed

·         Chairperson welcomed everyone and discussed minutes of previous meeting, Treasurer advised of current funds/outgoings

·         Former secretary of school sent wishes to PA for kind gift

·         Everyone agreed Santa visiting the school outside was a great success, iDonate 50/50 proved to be a worthwhile fundraiser and discussed different options to spend the monies raised and congrats to the winners of the draw

·         Music Workshop to be paid

·         Safety Inspection – All compliant  

·         Heritage Day €100

·         Green School Programme looking for actions

·         Mind Hacks workshop suggestion for 6^th class pupils transitioning into Secondary school €200 online support for teacher/pupils – PA to speak with Principal if interested

·         Sensory toys could more be purchased for school

·         Swimming from 2^nd class up to be organised (bus etc) waiting on pool availability

Calendar Events

·         World Book Day – Thurs 3^rd March (agreed to buy 2 x tokens per class €10 or €15 from Easons or Bookstation) Secretary to look into what was done last year regarding sponsoring a prize

·         Cash for Clobber to be organised in March

·         St. Patricks Day (Seachtain na Gaeilge)

·         Easter Chicks – Principal to send out pattern for knitting chicks before Mid-Term and if any parents/grandparents could help to knit some chicks for sale

·         Communion – Sat 7^th May

·         Confirmation – No date set yet – discussion around should there be a vote for parents to decide on child’s attire school uniform v’s own clothes – Principal to decide (possible decision which would remain in place for 3 years)

·         Fun Run in May or June date to be decided (previously done on a Sunday 26^th May 2019)

·         Depending on easing of Government restrictions after 28^th February there could be a possibility to alternate future PA meetings in the school and online

·         Apps for iPads
