Moate Children’s Choir Win!
Congratulations to Moate Children’s Choir members and their director, Mr Ciaran Brady, on their recent win in the Feis Ceoil in Dublin.
Down on the Farm
Ms. Robbin’s 4th and 5th classes have been learning all about life down on the farm in an unique way as they care for Timmy the lamb and watch a clutch of eggs incubate and hatch. After Easter, some laying hens will be added to their care and theGardening club will recommence then also.
Seachtain na Gaeilge
The whole school enjoyed our recent Seachtain na Gaeilge Performance in the hall, which showcased the traditional arts of dance, song, music and drama. It is great to see everyone working so hard to keep our culture alive and vibrant.
World Book Day
As always, the parents and children put in a huge effort to have original and creative costumes to celebrate many of the well known and loved characters found in children’s literature down the years. The Cat in the Hat, the Tin Man, Red Riding Hood, Harry Potter, the Queen of Hearts, Pinochio and Thomas the Tank Engine all made an appearance, to name but a few. Well done to all for the time and effort they put in and thanks to the Parents’ Association who sponsored the Prizes for the Best Home Made Costumes (The Queen of Hearts and Pinochio) and for the Book Raffle.
