Classes were very busy the last few weeks designing and creating fashion items from recycled junk. They showed great creativity. We all enjoyed the fashion show last Wednesday 15th February and all the girls and boys should great confidence as they walked the catwalk to music and applause! There was a variety of outfits and lots of different materials were used. There were newspaper dresses, skirts made from bottles and crisp wrappers, hats made from cereal boxes and shoes from tissue boxes! There was even a car made from clothes hangers! There are plenty of up and coming fashion designers in our school!
The Green School Committee organised the fashion show and provided great commentary. They hope that this project will help encourage everyone to reduce their waste and look at the different ways we can recycle and reuse our junk at home! Enjoy the photos from the catwalk!
Thanks to all for their enthusiasm and support in this project!
